Celtic Restore Lead At Top
Celtic went four point clear at the top of the SPL when they had to come from behind to beat Hamiton today.
A late strike by Paul Hartley was enough to guide Celtic to the win, although the home side were reduced to ten men following the harsh dismissal of Martin Canning, whose challange resulted in a penalty, even though the foul seemed to take place outside the box.
Shunsuke Nakamuru levelled the score from the spot, but ti took Celtic until the 86th to make the most of their numerical advantaged when Hartley struck. Hamilton had took the lead via a powerful Richard Offiong header.
Hull Halt Losing Run
Another Giovanni strike earned Hull a battling point at home to Manchester City.
His free kick, which was aided by a big deflection in the visting wall wrong-footing Kapser Schmeichel, drew last years play off winners level at two all.
