UEFA cup winners Zenit St Petersburg looked sharper and fitter than the Premier league champion’s Manchester United as they claimed the Super Cup with a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Pogrebnyak and new signing Danny. Hull City have made a ’substantial’ offer for Manchester United’s young striker Frazier Campbell according to BBC Radio Humberside. The 20-year-old spent seven months on loan at Hull last season and scored 15 league goals as they gained promotion to the Premier League. Sunderland defender Paul McShane is also reportedly set to join on loan.
Southampton have completed the signing of midfielder Anthony Pulis from Stoke City on a free transfer. The 24-year-old son of Potters boss Tony Pulis has signed a two-year deal at St Mary’s.
