Saints players charged with Burglary

Lafferty joins Rangers from Burnley

Barcelona trio can leave the club

Italy clinched a quarter-final meeting with Spain when they beat France 2-0, a result which saw France knocked out along with Romania from the so called ‘Group of Death’

Nothing went right for France they lost Franck Ribery in the first ten minutes and then had Eric Abidal sent off after 25 minutes when he fouled Luca Toni to give away a penalty that was scored by Andrea Pirlo.

The World champions scored again when Daniele De Rossi’s 30-yard free-kick was deflected in by Thierry Henry just past the hour mark.

Goals from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Robin van Persie ended Romania’s hopes of making the Euro 2008 quarter-finals. The Dutch will now play either Russia or Sweden in the last eight.

Southampton’s Bradley Wright-Phillips and Nathan Dyer will appear before Portsmouth magistrates on 8 July, after being charged with burglary in connection with the theft of items from a Portsmouth nightclub.

Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty has joined Rangers. Rangers have paid £3M plus offered midfielder Alan Gow as part of the deal.

New Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says Ronaldinho, Deco and Samuel Eto’o are free to leave the club.
