The Netherlands beat Italy 3-0 in their game tonight in Berne. The Dutch opened the scoring in the 26th when Ruud Van Nistelrooy poked home a Sniejder shot although he looked well offisde. Sneijder then hit the second five minutes later from a great counter and Van Bronckhorst added a third with ten minutes to go, again from a break after Van Der Saar saved from a free kick.
