New England boss Fabio Capello has named his first England squad ahead of the friendly match against Switzerland on February 6. David Beckham has been left out of the 30-man squad due to doubts over his fitness meaning the 32-year-old will have to wait for his 100th cap. Goalkeeper Paul Robinson is also left out while Aston Villa’s Curtis Davies and Gabriel Agbonlahor win their first call-ups.

Stuart Pearce has named his England Under-21 squad for Tuesday’s European Championship qualifier against Republic of Ireland. Aaron Lennon is included in a strong squad along with his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates Jamie O’Hara and Tom Huddlestone. The squad includes Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, Arsenal forward Theo Walcott and Middlesbrough defender David Wheater - all of whom could make the senior squad in the future according to Capello.
