West Ham United came from behind to avoid an upset at Coventry City in this Carling Cup fourth round tie at the Ricoh Arena. Jay Tabb gave the Championship side the lead after 66 minutes but an own goal from Marcus Hall and a last-minute effort by Carlton Cole secured the Hammers’ passage to the fifth round.
In League One, Nottingham Forest and Oldham Athletic fought out a goalless draw at the City Ground.

Norwich City have appointed Glenn Roeder as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal. The Canaries have not won a game since September 15 and are currently bottom of the Championship table. Caretaker boss Jim Duffy has left the club.

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage is out for up to six weeks after undergoing knee surgery. Savage picked up the injury in Sunday’s 1-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane after a challenge by Robbie Keane.
