Wales hold Czech’s to goalless draw
England lose ground
Ryan Giggs ended his Welsh international career as Wales held the Czech Republic to a goalless draw in this Euro 2008 qualifier at the Millennium Stadium. The Manchester United legend is given a standing ovation when he is withdrawn two minutes from time. The stalemate almost certainly ends Wales’ hopes of reaching next year’s tournament. Meanwhile, the Germany replace the Czech’s at the top of Group D after beating San Marino 6-0.
