Bristol City appoint Gary Johnson as their new boss.- Tony Pulis is named as the new manager of Plymouth Argyle. He makes a swift return to the Championship following his controversial sacking by Stoke City in June. Pulis replaces Bobby Williamson who was dismissed on 6 September. The Welshman began his managerial career in 1992 at AFC Bournemouth and has since also been in charge at Gillingham, Bristol City and Portsmouth. Former Argyle boss David Kemp will be his assistant at Home Park.
